Currently, we are only able to accept bookings from children attending Rathdown Junior School, siblings of current Rathdown pupils (Junior and Senior School) and children entering the Junior School in September. We do hope to open the camp to all children in the near future but due to Covid not this summer. If you would like to be added to a mailing list to be updated on future camps please email us using the address below.
Rathdown Camps
Here at Rathdown, our camps run throughout the year during the school holidays. This includes camps during the Easter, summer, and Halloween breaks – and, when possible, during the mid-term breaks too. Rathdown camps are open to boys and girls ranging in age from Junior Infants (KG2) to 6th Class. Children must be currently in Junior infants to attend the camp; children younger than this age bracket may be able to join the Pre-School camp which runs in Rathdown concurrently.
At Rathdown, we offer the children a variety of activities as the school boasts a broad range of facilities and experienced staff. Some of these activities include sports such as basketball, soccer, tag rugby, tennis, dodgeball, athletics, games, and other physical activities. We also include creative art activities, science, and teamwork games and activities.
Currently, the camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays to Fridays excluding bank holidays.
Extended hours beyond 3 p.m. may be reintroduced in the future and this would allow children to stay beyond the 3 p.m. pick-up time.
A hot lunch is prepared by the school's catering team which is provided daily and this is included in the price. Children only need to bring a drink and a snack.
Payments for the camp are made electronically via the school’s website and the current cost of the camp for a five-day week is €150.
· Children need to bring plenty of fluids and wear suitable clothing and footwear for sports and arts activities.
