The polar bear and the penguin-Bray

As part of Science Week, P1 and P2 enjoyed a visit from a biochemist who works in the pharmaceutical industry. She told us how she helps a team of scientists make new medicines and check that they are safe. 
We also learned about ancient remedies and how people have used plants and herbs as medicines for thousands of years — and still do today! The children were fascinated and asked lots of brilliant questions.
