Summer performances

No P6s were actually harmed in the performance of ‘Murder at Moorstones Manor’ by the P6 speech & drama class! Great acting all round & we have some very good comedians in this class though! Well done girls.

P5B performed ‘Murder at Moorstones Manor’ with lots of energy this morning!! Great job by all the girls.

P5G gave us ‘Jacqueline and the Beanstalk’ - lots of great jokes and quick costume changes in this one. A really great way to end the term.

The P4 girls worked on ‘A Night at the Oscars’ and we filmed it during class. Some great acting from these girls!!

P3 performed a very funny version of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’.  Every girl played her part really well, and it was full of energy! Well done P3 on a great year’s work!

P2 had great fun performing ‘The Very Last School Play’ for their classmates on 1st June. This is a play about a school play in which everything goes wrong!! The girls performed with lots of energy and a great sense of fun!

On 15th October, 42 girls from P2 to P6 got to do their Irish Board of Speech & Drama Exams, which had been rescheduled from last April! The girls had been revising their work in their Speech & Drama classes since September. They relearned their poems and chose passages to read from their favourite books. They also prepared talks on a variety of topics; memorable holidays, people from history, favourite books, hobbies & interests! We all know the girls love to talk, so this exam was a great experience for them! Our external examiner Ms Keane was really impressed with the high standard of performance shown on the day & Ms Phelan was delighted with the feedback and wonderful results. Well done to all the girls who took part. You will all be receiving certificates from the Irish Board of Speech & Drama shortly. We hope to have more exams after Easter.
